As part of our learning this year, it is important for me to determine what kind of learner you are so I can best meet your needs as a student in our classroom. One of the first activities we will do, is take an intelligence test. This is not your typical IQ test, but rather a test to determine your modes of learning: visual, linguistic, bodily - kinesthetic, etc.
Please use the website below to learn more about Howard Gardner's theory of Multiple Intelligences.
Read the page entitled, Special Report: The Multiple Intelligences Redefine "Smart"
After reading the article, click on the blue words on the right hand side of the page entitled, "Take a Quiz." Once you click on Take a Quiz, a new drop down menu will appear. Click on What's your Learning Style."
Once you click on What's your Learning Style, be sure to READ the directions and take the quiz. There are 24 questions. After you complete the test, read the chart that tells you what you're learning style is and print out 2 copies of the results.
After you print out the results, click on your top 2 learning styles and read the summaries of how you best learn. Then print out copies for yourself of those summaries and bring them into class tomorrow along with your test results.
